I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, a suburb just outside of Los Angeles, California. After struggling in high school, I attended College of the Canyons before transferring to UC Berkeley in 2013. With great appreciation for generous donations from private foundations like the Association of Sikh Professionals, I will be graduating college debt-free. Further, donors enabled me to avoid financial stress and focus on my studies. I’ll be leaving Cal with Highest Honors.
The Association of Sikh Professionals has been particularly supportive of my journey this past year. I had the privilege of interning with the TATA Group in India, studying abroad at Sciences Po in Paris, interning at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C., and serving as a student ambassador to the Kakehashi Project in Japan. ASP helped lay the financial groundwork that made my year professionally, socially, and personally invaluable. I am greatly thankful to the Association of Sikh Professionals for standing with me, and I look forward to remaining connected and giving back in the future.
